About Skepsis

σκέψις (skepsis, “looking closely”)

Skepsis teaches the Greek hiding in everyday English, in lessons short enough for a coffee break. It started as a way to teach a busy team in Texas, so every word comes with a Texas example. Made by Ion Petropoulos.

What's inside

11 units, 57 word roots and 36 myths and ideas: tele, photo and graph; astronaut and petroleum; ethos, pathos and logos; hubris and nemesis; the Stoics; and a round of “Is it Greek?” (rodeo, maverick, barbecue).

How it teaches

The research behind these choices, with sources, is in RESEARCH.md.
